This site was once only one of several devoted to making society better with social technology. Now things have changed. You may still click on the sidebar image to visit one of those sites, but this one has now been redirected away from Making Society Work to the pressing problem of Keeping Society Alive.
Since Very Large Scale Social Data Collection became possible, society is under threat. It is hard to underestimate this threat. Had we developed computers and software adequate for the task long ago, before nuclear weapons were invented, the dangers would have been limited. Now the ability to collect and exploit this data comes at a time in which the use of these weapons could place humanity itself at risk.
Even if the situation never becomes this extremes, society as we know it could disintegrate because of the seriously disruptive effects of social technology intended to make society work.
